Becoming is a community platform that connects students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and organizations. Our mission is to help everyone tell their story, discover opportunities, and grow — no matter where they are in their journey. We believe that no one is perfect, and everyone is unique.
You can create a free account as a student, professional, entrepreneur, or organization. Your account holds your profile, story, and preferences. You can update your information at any time from your account settings. If you have trouble signing in or need to reset your password, use the login page and follow the prompts.
Your story is the heart of your Becoming profile. Fill in your personal background, skills, achievements, and what kind of opportunities you're looking for. The more you share, the better we can match you with the right people and organizations. Your story is always private until you choose to make it visible.
Once your profile is set up, Becoming will notify you when new opportunities matching your interests and skills are posted. You can customize your alert preferences — choose the types of opportunities (volunteer, co-op, part-time, full-time, etc.), location, and frequency of notifications from your account settings.
Organizations can join Becoming to post opportunities and connect with motivated candidates. Organization accounts require a verified article of incorporation and business profile. Once approved, you can list positions, describe your workplace culture, and reach out to candidates whose stories match what you're looking for.
We never permanently lock anyone out — but there are a few situations where sign-in can pause. Here's what each one means and how to fix it. 1. Too many sign-in attempts (most common). For your safety, sign-in is briefly paused after several wrong passwords. Wait 5–10 minutes, then try again. If you're not sure of your password, use "Forgot password?" on the login page to reset it. 2. Email not verified yet. Right after signing up, check your inbox (and spam folder) for a confirmation email from Becoming. Click the link to activate your account. If you can't find it, sign in once and we'll resend it automatically. 3. Waiting on parent/guardian consent (under 18). Job Seekers under 18 need a parent or guardian to approve the account before you can use the dashboard. Your guardian receives a one-time approval link by email when you sign up. Ask them to check their inbox (including spam). You can resend the consent email from the pending-consent page. 4. Forgot or changed your password. On the login page, click "Forgot password?". We'll send you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour — request a new one if it does. 5. Your account was suspended. Rarely, an organization account is paused while we verify business documents, or any account that violates our community guidelines is placed on hold. If you believe this happened by mistake, contact support and we'll look into it within one business day. Still stuck?
